As a busy mother, grandmother and wife, I don’t have hours to spend every night in my kitchen preparing healthy meals for my family. To resolve this problem, I’m looking for recipes that take less than 1 hour from start to finish and using healthy fresh ingredients.
The following white rice recipes are healthy dishes and less than 45 minutes to do.
Time-saving tips: If you want to reduce the time of preparation, may all your vegetables chop the previous night and place them in containers closed in your refrigerator. It can be cooked until the white rice the day before, drainage away from the water and refrigerate until that you are ready to use it.
Lemon Rice Pilaf recipe
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine light
3 cups cooked completely in white rice
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon rind
3/4 teaspoon of table salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cook rice according to instructions from the package and drainage. In a large skillet, sauté the celery and onion in the butter until tender. Stir in rice, grated lemon rind, salt and black pepper. Further engendered to simmer for 2 to 3 minutes or until your fully heated through. Serve immediately.
Spanish rice recipe
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
White 1/2 cup of rice, uncooked
1 can of condensed soup of tomatoes Italian style
1 cup of water
1 leaf of laurel
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
dash of chili sauce
In a large pot, add the vegetable oil and turn the recorder over medium heat. Stirring the rice and cook until browned, stirring frequently with a nonstick silicone spatula. Once it has gold, shakes the canned soup, water, laurel, pepper and a pinch of chili sauce. Make heat for which comes from the mixture to a rapid boil. Reduce heat to low and cover the skillet. Simmer on low for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove bay leaf and serve immediately.
