Rice dessert

A sweet always is welcome, and if treated also is healthy, is not non-stop to enjoy it. This delicious and creamy, sweet treat is made with rice, which is a comprehensive and a much healthier than white rice option.


I normally used to make this cake with white rice but stopped doing so after learning the rice plus points. Although rice takes longer to cook and the texture is slightly sticky, these are certainly not deterrent in my using these perfect goldmine of nutrients.


Ingredients;


1/4 cup rice 4 cups milk 2 cups of water 1/2 cup of jaggery A handful of nuts (cashew nuts, almonds and raisins) 1/4 TSP cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder


Method: Wash the rice in water and soak for 15-20 hours. Grate the jaggery and keep separate. Take a less heavy ship and boil 2 cups of water in it. Drain the rice and add in the boiling water. Boil for 15 minutes. Add 4 cups of milk and let the mixture boil for another 30 minutes. Check the consistency of rice should be soft and Pasty.


Take off the flame and add nuts, cinnamon powder, powdered cardamom and jaggery grated in the dessert. This mix.


Note:


To add additional flavors, heat 2 teaspoons of ghee (butter) in a wok and fry the nuts in a minute. Add the ghee along with nuts in baked dessert. The same dessert can be done with normal white rice, rice gives benefits to health and a smell out the dessert.


Serve this dessert of hot or cold rice after meals.
