Rice for dinner recipes

Rice is the most commonly consumed grain in the world. In parts of the far East is the main element in the menu. Harvested in small family farms in most of Asia, the Oriental diet is built around rice. There are two types of rice. White rice and rice. Both have similar Gylcemic index values. The rice glycemic index is around 55 with the white rice to 58 glycemic index. Not much of a difference in the GI, but a gross difference in nutritional value.

Far is a better option for all nutrition. Left essentially in tack, save the outer glumes, rice packs a considerable amount of fiber and vitamins minerals divided far to white rice. Trapped inside the fiber is the oil of bran, which has been shown to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and protect against heart disease. When you compare to all other rice, brown rice shines like eating rice premier for General and well-being.

Because the rice is digested slowly, the response of sugar in the blood is much slower. This keeps the sugar glycemic index Moreno in the low range. Rice can be soaked for 20 hours in warm water before cooking to soften up the outside covering if you want a smoother texture…

In addition to being a protector of the heart, you fills faster and adds flavor and texture to a dish. The innate characteristics of rice are filled quickly that automatically reduces their caloric intake to lose weight without fail to satisfy your appetite.

Here is one of my favorite recipes

Mediterranean rice and shrimp salad

1 1/2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 clove garlic crushed in a press
3 cups of cooked rice
3/4 cherry tomatoes Cup halved
3/4 cup ad cucumber peeled, classified into cubes
1/3 cup thinly sliced red onion
1/4 cup rd roasted diced peppers
3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1/2 pound cooked peeled shrimp
3/4 feta cheese Cup crumpled, 1 1/2 ounces

1) In a large bowl combine the lemon oil, garlic and salt. Mix well.

(2) Stirs the grain of cook, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, pepper and dill. Add shrimp ad cheese and stir gently again. That is simple as that?
